Private Photography Workshops

Let me teach you how to take better images

Bedgebury Pinetum Photography Group Workshops

This will be your chance to visit Bedgebury at dawn, when it is not normally accessible, so you can experience the Pinetum at its glorious best and capture the beautiful late autumn colours.

If you would like this chance to take great pictures in the morning ‘golden hour’ and turn them into fabulous images then join me as I take a small group around a few of my favourite locations and share my photographic expertise. The walk will be followed by a post production classroom session where I will demonstrate how you can make your images even more spectacular.

EVENT DETAILS

Please book your place by emailing me on DavidJennerEmail or phone on 07714 324563.

Please note the walk will go ahead even in light rain; only if the conditions are torrential or high winds would we postpone and offer you another date.

We will meet in a private car park (location to be disclosed later) just before 6.00am so that we can start our walk promptly. The workshop should be finished at 1.00pm.

Below are suggestions of what to bring, although not a definitive list, if you would like any advice before the day just email me on DavidJennerEmail

MUST BRING...

  • Camera (obviously) – lenses (wide angle and telephoto) and accessories (see optional list below) - make sure your battery is fully charged.
  • Tripod.
  • Refreshments – it might be a warm day so bring some water
  • Walking shoes or boots – just in case the grass is wet or paths are slightly muddy (there are one or two inclines but no real strenuous walking)
  • Knee pads – I find these absolutely invaluable when I am out shooting as it allows me to get down low and find compositions that would otherwise be uncomfortable. If you are looking for a really good pair of pads I would recommend the NoCry Professional Knee Pads which you should be able to find on Amazon.
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket and trousers (strongly advised even if it is not raining)
  • Warm clothing including hat and gloves
  • It is advisable to make sure you bring protection in the form of sun cream for obvious reasons and insect repellant to avoid being bitten (I know from experience that midges and mosquitos in the Pinetum can be dreadfully annoying on the day and after the event

OPTIONAL ITEMS...

  • Polarising, ND and ND graduated filters - useful for photographing water, skies and long exposures
  • Spare battery and additional memory card
